Spring Sketchbook Workshops

LEARN TO SKETCHBOOK AND OPEN YOUR EYES TO LIFE!

IF YOU'VE EVER HAD THE EXPERIENCE of taking hundreds of pictures while traveling or attending a special event you will probably relate to the feeling that you missed out on "being there" because you saw everything through a viewfinder. You have a hard time remembering details because you were focused on taking pictures. It's a disorienting aspect of how technology can intrude and interfere with your experiences. Your camera batteries die right when the fog lifts off the Golden Gate bridge or the Tour de France riders pass by while you're struggling to change the memory chip!

Well, no more. It's time to stop and draw the roses! A pictorial journal is so much more meaningful and personal than a photo album. During this 6-CLASS WORKSHOP, you will learn innovative ways of keeping a sketch book and chronicling daily life and/or a vacation. The sketch-booking workshop consists of exercises, special handouts, non-judgmental critique times and plenty of opportunities to explore. This is a class that requires only a desire to slow down and focus on the world around you. As an added benefit many people discover that visual memories are enhanced by sketchbooking and they retain far more of the mental imagery instead of relying on cameras to do it for them. For novices and experienced artists alike.
